Victoria ISD continues to offer the VISD Application Hub, a centralized online system designed to simplify how families apply for district programs and campus transfers in one convenient location.
Through the VISD Application Hub, parents and guardians may submit applications for the STEM pathway schools through the Transfer Request Application, Tuition-Based Pre-K and the Dual Language Program. Applications for all three options open Saturday, March 1, and close Sunday, March 15, 2026.
The Application Hub was created to simplify the process by bringing multiple applications together in one place. Instead of navigating separate webpages or completing different forms, families may explore program options, review requirements and submit applications through a single platform.
VISD STEM Pathway
The VISD STEM Pathway provides students with a continuous learning experience focused on science, technology, engineering and math, beginning at Smith STEM Academy, continuing at STEM Middle School and culminating at Victoria East High School. Students participate in hands-on projects, collaborative learning and real-world problem solving designed to strengthen critical thinking skills and prepare them for future college and career opportunities in STEM-related fields.
Families interested in learning more about the pathway are invited to attend upcoming information sessions:
Thursday, Feb. 26, at 9 a.m. at Smith STEM Academy to learn about the elementary STEM program
Thursday, March 5, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the STEM Middle School Library, to learn about the middle school program
The Transfer Request Application allows families to apply for a program-based transfer, such as the STEM Pathway, when the campus is outside their assigned attendance zone. All transfer requests are reviewed according to district guidelines, campus capacity, and program availability. Learn more, visit www.visd.net/stem.
This project is supported by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Elementary and Secondary Education, through the Magnet Schools Assistance Program (CFDA 84.165A). Federal funds provide $3,409,272.04. The remaining cost is funded by nonโFederal sources.
VISD Tuition-Based Pre-K
VISD Tuition-Based Pre-K offers eligible families the opportunity to enroll their children in high-quality early learning environments that support academic readiness, social development and foundational skills. The program emphasizes early literacy, math concepts and structured play to help students build confidence and prepare for kindergarten. Learn more, visit www.visd.net/earlyed.
Dual Language Program
The Dual Language Program helps students become strong readers, writers, and speakers in both English and Spanish. Students learn grade-level content in two languages, building academic skills while also developing confidence, communication abilities, and cultural understanding. The program supports high achievement and prepares students to succeed in a multilingual world. Learn more at www.visd.net/duallanguage.
Families interested in any of these opportunities can visit the VISD Application Hub, review program information and submit applications between March 1 and March 15, 2026.
